Username Change Policy

I have been getting a lot of requests, so I guess I need to post a policy (not a new one, I just hadn't shared it with everyone).

Only I can change a username. It's annoying for me, and generally annoying for others. However, there are sometimes a good reason for it (like your mom chose your name when she registered and used your real name, which you would prefer not everyone know--that has happened). Usually switching to or from a real name is what constitutes a good reason. Because of the aforementioned information, I will only change a person's name once.

So before asking me via PM, ask yourself, "do I really need this change?"

There should be zero name changes in theory, I am essentially only doing it if someone made a mistake. I don't see a need to ever do it more than once for the few people that will need it.

Yeah but what if you changed your username to something weird when you were in like 8th, then in sophomore year you decide its weird and dont like it?

If agreed it was a stupid name, then you could use your one change.
